Lloyd " Skip " Davis' Obituary
Skip passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, September 3, 2025. He fought a courageous fight against both a rare blood cancer and chronic kidney disease. He is missed beyond measure.
Skip was the 3rd child born June 7, 1948, in Nashville, TN to Sanford “Skeeter” Kytle Davis and Elizabeth Lloyd Stevens. Preceded in death by his parents, sister Sandra Davis and daughter Jennifer “Jenny” Davis Pate.
Left to grieve his passing are wife, Carol Davis of the home, son Derik Davis of Richardson, TX, stepsons, Stephen (Jennifer) Taylor of Prosper, TX and Michael Taylor of San Marcos, TX and three grandchildren, Libby Pate and Grace Pate of Allen, TX and Brady Taylor, Prosper, TX. Brothers Ed (Sandy) Davis, Plano, TX and Bill Davis, Garland, TX.
Skip was devoted to his beloved USMC and served two combat tours in Vietnam. After leaving the Marine Corp, he spent his career in the electrical contracting business.
His hobbies were entertaining his friends and family (especially with his legendary BBQ’s), woodworking, making stained glass, golf and fishing. He did love his fishing!
