Lloyd Owen Snoddy's Obituary
Lloyd Owen “Mike” Snoddy was born December 5, 1932 in Detroit, Michigan to Max Eldon and Donnabel Josephine Napper Snoddy. Mike passed away on February 18, 2017 after an extended fight with cancer. He was preceded in this life by his parents and sister Ruth Henrietta Snoddy Gatewood. He is survived by wife Mary Ruth; son, Michael Owen and daughter, Lynn Michelle. The Snoddy’s got to Texas fast as they could to Garland in the 1940’s. Mike attended Garland High School along with his sister Ruth where he met his wife to be Mary Ruth Robbins. Mike and Mary Ruth married in 1953. After graduating GHS, Southern Methodist University, and a brief stint in the US Army, Mike worked tirelessly for the benefit of his family and employees for over 50 years at Telsco Industries in Garland, a company founded by his parents Max and Donna. After retiring, Mike continued on at Telsco as chairman of the board of directors, enjoying this great land traveling, and being with and helping his family with projects. We’ll miss you Dad but know we’ll see Y’all soon! Funeral service will be held at 12:30 pm, Saturday, February 25, 2017 at the Restland Wildwood Chapel. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
