Lloyd Wilson's Obituary
Lloyd Wayne Wilson died Feb. 22, 2018 at Pine Tree Lodge, Longview, TX. He was born Oct. 1, 1932 in Waco, TX, the youngest of seven children, born to John Murphy and Lovie Beard Wilson. He graduated with honors from La Vega High School, Baylor University, Abilene Christian University and earned an MBA from the University of Dallas.He had a distinguished career as a chemist with Sherwin Williams in Dallas and Gillespie Coatings in Longview. He was a beloved teacher of natural science for 13 years at Longview High School.His wife, June Atteberry, preceded him in death. He is survived by 13 nieces and nephews including Patricia Florey (Edward), Terry Wohlfahrt (Ronald), Brenda McAlister, and Leon Bates (Clara). Lloyd will be interred beside his wife at Restland Cemetery, Dallas, TX.Memorials may be made to Pine Tree Lodge, 2711 Pine Tree Rd., Longview, TX 75604 or Heartsway Hospice, 4351 Mccann Rd, Longview, TX 75604.The family requests that visiting hours be observed at 1 PM on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Restland Funeral Home. Graveside service for Mr. Wilson will be at 2 PM, Tuesday, February 27 in the Garden of Ascension in Restland Cemetery.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, Texas 75243.
