Loan Thi Dao Boykin's Obituary
Loan Thị Đào Boykin, an Occupational Therapist and resident of Allen, TX, died on October 5, 2021 at the age of 44.
Loan is survived by her father, Sanh Đào; her children, Dajah, Dezma, and Korey; brother, Dũng; sisters, Dung, Nhung, and Phượng; and 11 nephews and nieces. She is preceded in death by her mother Xinh Hồ and an older brother, Mạnh Đào.
Born on November 12, 1976 in Đà Nẵng, Việt Năm, Loan is the youngest of six siblings. She immigrated to the United States in 1982 at the age of four. She graduated from Garden City Senior High School (1996) and from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy (2001).
Loan was always a strong-minded and independent woman. As a devoted, single mother, Loan's love for her three children did not come to an end with her last breath. Throughout her courageous battle with cancer, she continued working as much as she could to provide for her children's future.
In her final days, Loan was surrounded by both immediate and extended families. Her nieces and nephews brought smiles to her face, and friends and loved ones provided much comfort and love. All of her nieces and nephews will miss her strawberry cookies and for being on the team with the "coolest" aunt at family holidays. We will miss Loan tremendously and will celebrate her memory at every gathering.
