Loc Gia Hong's Obituary
Loc Gia Hong or known as Gia Loc (Ka-lok), 90, passed away peacefully at his home on November 3, 2018. He was born in Hanoi, Vietnam on August 28, 1928, living happily with his family who inspired him to venture out to Lang Son and became an entrepreneur. This is where he met his beautiful wife, Xuan Hoa whom he has been married to for 65 years. Together they built a family of seven wonderful children in Saigon. Loc’s love for his family and strong determination to provide for his wife and kids helped him succeed in his career. His perseverance helped him survive through many wars that happened during his lifetime. He was a scholar, a lover of books, and knowledge. Loc continuously educated himself with different languages, kept up with technologies, and current news. He was a teacher and influencer of life philosophy to his kids, grandkids and many others. He left a legacy full knowledge and love to us. Toward the end of his life, Gia Loc moved to Dallas, Texas where he lived happily with his wife, children, grandchildren, and a great grandchild. We will miss Loc’s kind, loving, generous and beautiful spirit. Loc is survived by his wife Quach Xuan Hoa, his seven children, Cuong, Minh, Chan, Lien, Chau, Phuong, Hanh. He is also survived by his grandchildren Anh Chieu, Oanh Chieu, Andee Chieu, Vincent Chao of Dallas; My Thanh, My Tam, Thuy Truc of Vietnam; Zheng Fung Shi, Zheng Ru Fen of Taiwan. Loc was very organized and he had plans for everything in his life including his last moment in this world. He has left us on a beautiful sunny Saturday morning to start his new journey and join Buddha in a place of peace. Because he has always been a punctual person and he valued every one of their time, he really appreciated everyone who came to visit. In the wise words of Hong Gia Loc, “Live happy, live well, and live a long life.”
