Lois Elizabeth Brockles' Obituary
BROCKLES, LOIS ELIZABETH CALHOUN Was born on April 1st in Alexandria, Louisiana to Lois Padgett and Max Monroe Calhoun and died, surrounded by her family, after a courageous fight to recover from a debilitating stroke. She was a successful entrepreneur as owner of Knit and Kits in Irving, TX. She is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Basil A. Brockles, mother, Lois Tunney, brothers, Max and Bill. Lois and Basil provided a wonderful life for their 5 children. She is survived by sons, Bill and wife Janie (Harkness) Brockles of Irving, TX; Thom and wife Marillis (Johnson) Brockles of Duncanville, TX; Daughters, L A and Tom Malin of St. Petersburg, FL; Cindy and Don McWilliams of Bedford, TX; & Nancy and Jim Rathmanner of Austin, TX. Grandchildren include Austin, Kristopher, and Leslie Brockles; JulieAnna Lanford; Tommy, Steven, and Angela Malin; Teresa Mallory; Deanna Barbour; and Colin, Scott, and Brian Boddicker. There are 19 great-grandchildren, as well. Visitation will be Monday, July 16th, 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Services are at 12:30 on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery. Interment follows at the family plot. In lieu of flowers, you may contribute to the National Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
