Lois Cassady's Obituary
Lois Olene Cassady of Mesquite, TX, a devoted wife and a loving mother, left this world at the age of 78 on October 7, 2019 after battling colon cancer and pancreatic cancer. Born on June 4, 1941 in York, Pennsylvania to the late George Mervin Longenecker and the late Frances Longenecker. She was the oldest of five children. Her siblings are: Theda Busby, Joyce Marsh, Richard Longenecker and Kenneth Longenecker. She married Carlton Cassady in Opp, Alabama on June 25, 1960. They were blessed with seven children; Michael Cassady, the late Darrell Cassady, Beverly Burnett, the late Gary Cassady, Larry Cassady, Marlene Chapman and Sharlene Surbrook. She was richly blessed with thirteen Grandchildren and five Great-grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, five of her children and their spouses, four siblings and their spouses, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and other family members. Lois was an amazing woman who loved her family and friends and was a faithful servant of God. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, October 11, 2019 at Cornerstone Baptist Church, located at 2829 Clay Mathis Rd. Mesquite, Texas 75181. The graveside services will be held on Friday, October 11, 2019 at Restland Cemetery, located at 13005 Greenville Ave, Dallas, Texas 75243. Funeral arrangements for Lois have been faithfully entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery, which is located at 13005 Greenville Ave., at the intersection of Restland Road, Dallas, Texas 75243, and can be reached at (972) 238-7111.
