Lois was born April 29, 1940, in Dallas, Texas, to Arnulfo and Filebirtha Silva. She married Jesse C. Flores on April 4, 1959, in Dallas; she was a loving and supportive wife for 34 years until her beloved husband Jesse passed away in 1993. She owned and operated Allied Roofing Company with her sons. Allied Roofing has installed thousands of roofs on homes, churches and commercial buildings in the DFW metroplex for over five decades. Matthew 7:7 was a significant scripture to her regarding the business of Allied Roofing. She enjoyed studying the Bible with employees, family and friends in the Chapel room of the office building.
Lois was a member of Freedom Church in Carrollton for over 30 years where she was known as an inspiration of prayer and encouragement. She was a spiritual mother to many. She loved the Lord deeply, and she was ready to share the good news of Jesus with family, friends and everyone she met. Moreover, Lois lived out her faith through humble service and love for others. She adored her large family and her family adored her deeply. The family will miss the annual Christmas Eve dinners at Grandma’s home as well as other special gatherings. She shared scriptures and words of encouragement on a daily basis which will be greatly missed by family and friends. She lived a long life and to the fullest for the Lord.
