Lois Vernell Keith Culberson's Obituary
Lois Vernell Keith Culberson, 87, departed this life, February, 13, 2016, Dallas, Texas. She was born August 5, 1928, Amarillo, Texas, to Cleetie and Edith Downs Keith. She was raised in Amarillo, Texas. She married William A. Culberson, Jr. (Bill), June 16, 1949, and later moved to Dallas, to raise their family. Lois was preceded in death by her husband William A. Culberson, Jr. (Bill); grandson William A. Culberson, IV (Derek); and son-in-law Stephen Robert Maeker. Lois will be deeply missed by her family: son William A. Culberson, III (Billy) and wife Diana, great granddaughter Mackenzie; daughter Teresa Carole Culberson Maeker, grandson Colin, step granddaughter Lauren Curnow and husband Bill; son Craig Alan Culberson, granddaughter Megan and husband Michael Barrios, grandson Alec; stepdaughter Jan Copas and husband Steve, granddaughter Samantha Green, great granddaughter Abby, granddaughter Tammy Jolly and husband Robert, great grandson Christopher, nieces, nephews, and many friends. Lois loved her family dearly, and loved all the wonderful celebrations at the Culberson home. There are far too many to mention, and all will never be forgotten. She loved attending church services at Holy Cross, and spending time with her friends. Lois will rest next to her husband, Bill, at Restland Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Ave, Dallas, Texas. A Memorial Service will be held at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 11425 Marsh Lane, Dallas, Texas 75229, March 4, 2016, 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, you may make contributions to Holy Cross Lutheran Church or the Alzheimer’s Association, 3001 Knox Street, #200, Dallas, Texas 75205, in memory of Lois.
