Lois Ora McLarty's Obituary
Lois Ora McLarty was born October 28, 1916 on a farm near Neche, North Dakota and passed away May 8, 2017 in Dallas, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Ross D. McLarty, and her four brothers. Lois is survived by her daughter & son-in-law Lynn and Carl Hammert, and by her son & daughter-in-law Tyce & Linda McLarty. She has five surviving grandchildren – Shana Moran, Meridith Danforth, Matthew McLarty, James Scruggs, and Melinda Bruning, plus 7 great grandchildren. Family will receive friends on May 12, 2017 from 6-8 PM at Restland Funeral Home. Memorial Service will be held on May 13, 2017 at 2:00 PM at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 3204 Skillman Ave., Dallas, TX. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of the giver’s choice. Ross & Lois were very active in St. Andrews Presbyterian Church for many years. They also squared danced with the “Swinging Saints” group for 27 years. Lois was a member of Dallas Women’s Forum and a Wadley Volunteer.
