Lola Catherine Galvan's Obituary
Lola Catherine Hill Galvan, 87, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2025, in The Colony, Texas. She was born on March 12, 1938, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and lived a life marked by strength, honesty, and an unmistakable vibrancy that left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.
Lola was preceded in death by her beloved husband of more than 58 years, Norbert Galvan. She is survived by her son David Galvan and his wife Chris, her grandchildren Danny, Brittany, and Austin, and her nephew John and his wife Kara, their daughter Josie, and her Grand dog Cooper, all of whom she cherished deeply.
A devoted homemaker, Lola poured her heart into caring for her family and creating a home filled with warmth, loyalty, and laughter. She also dedicated many years of service to the Ladies Auxiliary supporting the Veterans of Foreign Wars, generously giving her time to an organization she believed in. A devout Catholic, Lola carried her faith throughout her life with quiet conviction.
Lola was known for her vibrant personality—fearless, outspoken, and unapologetically herself. She spoke her mind with conviction, often with language as colorful as her spirit, a quality that endeared her to those who knew her best. To meet Lola was to remember her; she left an impression that will not fade.
Though she may no longer be with us, the legacy of her spirit, her voice, and her authenticity lives on in all of us fortunate enough to have loved her.
May she rest in peace, reunited with those who went before her.
The visitation will be held at Restland Funeral Home on Monday, November 24, 2025 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. The Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church at 11:00 am, followed by interment at Restland Cemetery.
