Lora Lee Lewis' Obituary
LEWIS, LORA LEE 81, passed away Thursday August 18, 2011 in Bedford Texas. Lora was born October 5, 1929 in Denison Texas and was a longtime resident of Garland. Proceeded in death by her husband, E. W. “Dub” Lewis in 1980, her parents and one great grandchild. Lora retired from Rockwell Collins Incorporated in March 1989 after 30 years of service as an assembly line worker and inspector. Survived by her four children and three sisters, son Jerry and wife Lea, daughter Beverly Rushing and husband Joe, son Larry and wife Linda, daughter Julie and sisters Claudette Little and husband Jack, Sammie Bauman and husband Hank, and Sandy Charnetski and husband Clealand. Lora is also survived by nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and multiple nieces & nephews. The service will be Monday, August 22 in the Restland Wildwood Chapel at 10am with the visitation on Sunday, August 21 from 4-6pm at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas. In lieu of flowers the family suggests making a Memorial Donation to the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation at www.PDF.org.
