Lora Lee Phipps McMillan was born June 7, 1961 in Shreveport, Louisiana and passed away December 21, 2015 in Plano, Texas. She is preceded in death by her father, Richard Albert Phipps, and her mother, Shirley Dean Kelly Phipps. She is survived by her husband, Keith Lomax McMillan, her son, Matthew Keith McMillan, her daughter, Lora Katherine White, her brother, R. A. Phipps, Jr., and sisters, Julie Lippmin Choate and Janice Lippmin Brown. She also leaves behind a daughter in law, Rachel Kay McMillan, a son in law, Brandon Thomas White, four grandchildren, Levi Jefferson McMillan, Oliver Bryant McMillan, Bearett Thomas White, and Maverick Ray McMillan, along with a host of other relatives and friends. Family will receive guests on Friday, January 1, 2016 from 3:00 – 5:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. Services will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 4000 Midway Road, Carrollton, Texas 75007. She fought the good fight, she kept the faith, and completed her race. She was surrounded by her husband and children. We praised the Lord while He took her home. She was a servant to everyone she encountered. There was hardly a moment where she wasn’t serving or telling others about Jesus. She will be missed by so many. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mommy, Lollie, and friend, but through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ we know that we will see her again. Mark 10:45 “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.” Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
