Loran Dal Mixson's Obituary
Loran Dal Mixson, 64, of Greenville, TX passed away on December 30, 2020. Loran was a God fearing, loving man who spent all of his life serving others. As a young man he served overseas in the Army. In the last year of his life his mission was to serve "the forgotten" by opening the Abba's House Ministry where anyone is welcome to come as you are to worship and learn about Christ. His goal, his purpose, and his calling was to help the homeless, the drug addicts, and the abused find shelter and hope through Christ. Loran was a fun loving, kind hearted man who would have given the shirt off his back to help someone in need. He loved life, his children, his grandchildren, and his Dallas Cowboys. He had an eclectic style and was often known as "fancy pants". He marched to the beat of his own drum and his outlook on life was always bright. He will be forever missed but his legacy will live on forever.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Dal and Dessie Dean Mixson, and his wife Angela "Angie" Mixson. He is survived by his sister Sharon (James) Brown; his children Jason Brothers, Talena Mixson, and Cameron (Kymberly) Mixson; his grandchildren Nyla, Zaelyn, Jordan, Jayden, Brayden, and Bryleigh; and many other aunt's, uncle's, and cousins. His services will be held at Restland Funeral Home on Greenville Avenue in Dallas. Visitation will be Tuesday January 5, 2020 from 2-6pm and graveside service will be Wednesday January 6, 2020 at 12.
In leiu of flowers please donate to Abba's House in Greenville, TX to continue his legacy.
