Lorita Nell Jaquess' Obituary
JAQUESS, LORITA (RITA) HOUSTON Born November 23, 1928 in Mings Chapel, TX and passed away in Dallas, TX. She was a native of Upshur County, TX, grew up in Texas City, TX and lived her adult life in the Dallas area. Mrs. Jaquess was a longtime member of Cochran Chapel United Methodist Church and a former member of First United Methodist Church of Midlothian, TX. She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Lane Jaquess and her parents, Dennis W. and Ruby Duffey Houston. She is survived by 2 daughters, Sammye Jaquess and Carolyn Long and son-in-law,Clay, all of Dallas; 1 son, Tim Jaquess and daughter-in-law, Marissa, of Monroe, LA; 1 brother, Sam Houston and sister-in-law, Ginger, of Lake Palestine, TX; 4 grandchildren, Clayton Long, Jessica Long, Laurel Pittman and Corry Jaquess; 3 great grandchildren, Dylan Pittman, Ashley Pittman and Chance Pittman and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM, Friday, May 23, 2008 at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, May 24, 2008 at Restland Abbey Chapel. Memorials may be made to the U.C.L.A. Stroke Research Center, Reed Bldg., 710 Westwood Plaza, Los Angeles, CA 90095-5795 or organization of donor’s choice.
