Lorna Jean Griffis' Obituary
Lorna Jean Griffis passed away in Irving, Texas on August 28, 2021, at the age of 94. She was born to parents William and Dena Davey on January 10, 1927, in Ennis, Texas. Lorna was a longtime resident of Dallas, Texas making Dallas her home for over 60 years. She married Joseph Griffis on May 28, 1954. Lorna was a loving daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her family unconditionally. Lorna is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Griffis; parents, William and Dena Davey; brother, William Davey. Left to cherish her memory is son, Joseph Griffis and wife Flor of Dallas, Texas; son, Davey Griffis and wife Starla of Detroit, Texas; daughter, Dena Owens and husband Jeff of Irving, Texas; daughter, Sandra May and husband Terry of Dallas, Texas; daughter, Sharron McGee and husband Don of Houston, Texas; thirteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; as well as numerous family and friends who will miss Lorna dearly. In lieu of flowers family ask donations in Lorna’s name be made to the American Cancer Society.
