Lorrain Kramp's Obituary
“Her children rise up and call her blessed” Proverbs 31:28
Lorrain passed away May 23rd surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, just as she had wanted. The legacy of love she leaves behind for her family and friends is beyond words. Lorrain was kind to everyone she encountered, and her positive attitude was unparalleled. There is no better example of someone living true to their faith every single day of their life than Lorrain. She showed all of us how to love unconditionally and live life to the fullest.
She was the daughter of Rev. JL Wallace and Lena Cumbie Wallace. She attended Hardin Simmons University where she was a member of the Cowgirls. She married Robert L. Shelton in 1948. They had a wonderful 46-year marriage, that included many circles of very close lifelong friends. Bob and Lorrain were long time members of White Rock Methodist Church. They had four children, nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Lorrain taught school for 45 years and influenced hundreds of lives. She often heard from former students about the positive impact she had on their lives.
After being a widow for six years, Lorrain married Harley Kramp. They became members of Park Cities Baptist Church. They were married for 21 years.
Lorrain is survived by her husband Harley Kramp, son Thomas Shelton and wife Debra, daughter Vicki Shelton White, son Robert Shelton and wife Diana, daughter Melissa Shelton Bartlett and husband Charlie. Grandchildren Robert White, Blake, Luke and Landon Shelton, Thomas, Rachael and Sarah Shelton, Jake and Mason Bartlett, Brad and Ashley Reed. Great grandchildren Samuel, Thomas, Scottie. Also survived by stepsons Doug Kramp and wife Cheryl, Jeff Kramp and wife Marcy and grandchildren Peyton, Brian, David, Katie and Tanner Kramp.
A Memorial Service will be held at Park Cities Baptist Church on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at 1:00pm.
