Lorrie Yvette Bryson's Obituary
BRYSON, LORRIE YVETTE was born to Sandra and Lawrence Bryson in Cameron, Texas. She was the second eldest of four children. She is preceded in death by both her mother and father as well as her brother Kelvin Bryson. Due to her father’s military service, she spent her early childhood years in Germany and California, before returning to Cameron, Texas and graduating from Cameron Yoe High School. After moving to Dallas, Texas, Lorrie met the love of her life Sedrick Allison to whom she married in 2003. She birthed one child, Shaprecia “Shay” Bryson to whom she devoted her life. In 1999, Lorrie began working for Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas’ Cardiovascular Center (“CVC”), where she remained until 2014. Lorrie touched the lives of all who passed through the doors of the CVC during her many years of service, becoming a great friend and mentor to members as well as staff alike. Lorrie’s love of life and faith in the Almighty was spread daily through her infectious spirit and jovial personality. She made everyone she encountered feel as though she was sent here on Earth to bestow a blessing upon their life. She made it her life’s purpose to express God’s unconditional love through her many acts of kindness, and seeing the good in everyone. There is nothing that she would not do to create opportunities for her child as well as the many other children to whom she became a second mother, caring for them as if they were her own. Lorrie’s journey in this life ended on Monday, August 4, 2014. She leaves to cherish her memory, her devoted husband, Sedrick Allison; daughter, Shaprecia “Shay” Bryson; sister, Dedra’ Bryson; and brother, Lawrence C. Bryson; and a host of relatives, extended family, and friends.
