Louis Herrera's Obituary
Louis Herrera of Dallas, TX passed away April 23, 2012 peacefully from the arms of his loving family to the loving arms of his Lord. Born June 20, 1923 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, 1 grandson and his wife, Virginia Herrera of 57 years. He is survived by five children; daughter, Lupe and son-in-law, Ted Hernandez; sons, Louis Herrera Jr., Arthur and daughter-in-law, Susan Herrera, Rudy and daughter-in-law, Judith Herrera, Marty Herrera, and JoAnn Herrera; fourteen grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren. He is further survived by three brothers and 1 sister. Louis was a veteran of World War II, having served bravely with Co B 822nd Tank Destroyer Battalion in Germany and France. He retired after 36 yrs with Western Electric. He loved music and being with his family. Visitation is Thursday, April 26th from 6:00-8:00PM at Restland Funeral Home. Memorial Service will be held Friday, April 27th at 3:00PM at Restland Abbey Chapel. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.
