Louis Ward Howard's Obituary
HOWARD, LOUIS WARD beloved husband of Rosemary Howard, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 15, 2010. Louis was born on August 3, 1926 in Jonesboro, Arkansas. After graduating from High School in El Dorado, AR, he volunteered for the U.S. Navy and served in the Pacific Theatre during World War II. Afterwards, he attended the University of Arkansas and graduated in 1950 with a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering. He met his wife Rosemary at the University and they were married September 11, 1949 in Hope, Arkansas. After graduation, Louis and Rosemary moved to Dallas, TX where he was employed by Texas Power & Light Company (now TXU) for 37 years, retiring as a Vice President. Louis loved the Lord and is a member of Watermark Community Church. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Rosemary; son, Randy Howard and wife, Betty; daughter, Teresa Ann Fruge and husband, Max; 5 grandchildren: Jennifer Patterson and husband, Scott, Anne Burke and husband, Joe, Conley Howard, Emily and Patrick Fruge; 2 great grandchildren: Blane and Gavin Patterson. The family will receive friends from 6:00PM – 8:00PM, Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at Restland Funeral Home. A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00PM, Wednesday at the Watermark Community Church Chapel, 7540 LBJ Freeway, Dallas, TX. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dallas Theological Seminary, 3909 Swiss Ave, Dallas, TX 75251 or Watermark Community Church.
