Louis Rodriguez Jr.'s Obituary
Louis Rodriguez Jr. (1939 - 2025) went to his savior peacefully on March 3, 2025, surrounded by his family in Ft. Worth, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents Adela and Luis Rodriguez, his niece Stephanie Rodriguez and nephew in-law Rudy Torrez.
As a young man he was involved with the Catholic Church as an altar boy and never wavered from his faith. He played in the high school band and discovered his passion for working on cars and enjoyed discovering how things worked. He had a very inquisitive mind.
Upon graduating high school Louis joined the Air Force and while stationed in the United Kingdom in 1963, he met and married Evelyn and together they raised two boys, Adrian and Kevin.
After proudly serving his country, Louis was a dedicated employee who worked and retired from the United States Postal Service as a top tier electronic technician, leading the team responsible for maintaining the letter reading machines.
When Louis retired, he enjoyed working in his yard, tinkering on his cars, watching movies, reading and having spirited political debates. He also enjoyed playing cards and having breakfast at the local diner.
Louis is survived by his children Adrian (Madelyn) Rodriguez and Kevin (Ryan) Rodriguez, his grandchildren Keaton and Kaleb Rodriguez, his dear friend & former wife Evelyn Cohen. His sisters Elva (Roscoe) Friesenhahn and Lydia Rodriguez. His niece Lydia Ann Torrez and nephew Michael (Becky) Friesenhahn, many great and great-great nieces and nephews and numerous cousins.
Louis's straight forwardness, generosity, kindness and love for his family will always remain in our hearts. He will be dearly missed.
A visitation will be held at 1:00 pm Friday March 14, 2025, and service will start at 2:00 pm at Restland Memorial Chapel followed by a graveside service.
