Louis J. Schelling Jr.'s Obituary
Louis John Schelling, 90, of Dallas, Texas, passed away December 19, 2015. Louis was born in Dallas, Texas on June 14, 1925 to the late Louis and Waleria Schelling. He was married to Tommie Sue Schelling. Louis grew up in Houston then served in the Air Force during World War II. He graduated from the University of Houston with a degree in engineering and went to work for Otis Elevators the day after graduation. Louis worked for Otis Elevator for forty years and retired as Zone Director for the Southwestern Zone. Louis was preceded in death by his daughter, Linda Lujan-Eshom. He is survived by his wife, Tommie; his children, William Schelling and Carol Cash; and his step-children, Greg Holloway and Suzanne Weed. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Melissa Devereux, Melanie Walker and Jeremy Lujan; as well as his great-grandchildren, William Walker, Andrew Walker and Connor Devereux. At Louis’ request, a memorial service will not be held. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made in his memory to Wounded Warrior Project or the charity of the giver’s choice.
