Louise Johnson Cadenhead's Obituary
CADENHEAD, LOUISE JOHNSON Went to be with her Lord on Saturday, May 26, 2012. She was born in 1928 in Rule,Texas. Her family soon moved to Ft. Worth where she met and married Sam Cadenhead in July 1945 after he returned from World War II. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who raised a large family, and served her church and community well. She was preceded in death by Sam after 60 years of marriage and by her eldest son, Mike Cadenhead. Lou was an active and energetic person who for decades was a dedicated member of the Lake Highlands United Methodist Church, the Friendship Sunday School Class, the Lake Highlands Newcomers Club and the White Rock Book Club. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Trish Cadenhead, Susan and Ron Nash, and Bob and Julie Cadenhead; her four grandchildren and their spouses, Stacey Nash, David and Tiffany Nash, Todd and Sheri Cadenhead, and Grayson Cadenhead; and her six great-grandchildren, Andrew, Noah and Lilly Nash, and Bryson, Asher and Fischer Cadenhead. Her family and friends will long remember her. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 30th at 11:00 AM at the Lake Highlands United Methodist Church, 9015 Plano Road at McCree, with a reception following in the Fellowship Hall. The graveside burial will be for family only. The family will be available at Lou’s home on Tuesday, May 29th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, Lou’s family asks that memorials be made in her name to the MAC Lung Research Center at the UT Health Science Center, Institutional Advancement, 11937 US Highway 271, Tyler, Texas 75708.
