Louise Jackson's Obituary
JACKSON, LOUISE, beloved wife of Leonard Jackson of 70 years, went to join him for eternity January 15th, 2013. Louise was born in O’Donnell, Texas December 17th, 1923 to Henry and Sarah Heard. Louise lived in many towns in Texas during her early childhood before settling in Ladonia, TX. There, at age 13, she met the love of her life, Leonard on a school bus! Five years later, they wed July 25th, 1942. Louise was a hair stylist during World War II while Leonard was in the Navy. When he returned, they began a family having a son and five years later a daughter. She was a devoted and wonderful homemaker, mother, wife, daughter, sister, grandmother, and friend to all. Her smile and laughter was contagious. As a Liz Taylor look alike, she always appeared 15 years younger than she was. Simply stated – she was beautiful – inside and out. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, as well as her sister, Wanda Scharff and her brother-in-law, Jack Scharff. She will be missed and is survived by her son, David Jackson of Heath, Texas and her daughter, Debbie Jackson Smith of Plano, Texas. She also leaves behind four grandchildren: Melissa Smith, David W. Jackson II, Sarah Jackson, and Daniel Jackson, as well as a niece, Lujuanna Daigle and a nephew, Larry Scharff. We celebrate her life, love for her family, encouragement and care she provided to all, and her reuniting with her beloved soul mate, Leonard. Only one year separated from each other on earth, they now are joined for eternity in heaven. Praise God. Viewing will be from 6-8 PM Friday, January 18th at Restland Funeral Home at 9220 Restland Road Dallas, TX 75243. Funeral will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, January 19, 2013 in the Chapel of the First Baptist Church Plano, TX located at 1300 East 15th Street Plano, TX 75074, with interment back at Restland. Flowers can be ordered from Restland Floral at 972-238-7111.
