Louise Jennie Vander Galien's Obituary
Louise Vander Galien was born on April 2,1927, in East Saugatuck, Michigan and joined her Savior on July 31, 2020. She was the youngest child of Elizabeth and William Ten Brink. Louise graduated from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan where she met Sydney . They married on July 30, 1948. She taught in the Christian Schools in Grand Rapids for 30 years. She and Syd retired in 1988 and began traveling in their motorhome visiting nearly all of the United States and ‘wintering” in Arizona where they volunteered for Wycliffe Bible Translators and in Florida. They moved to Dallas in September 2007. Louise is survived by her sons Jeff (Mary) from Littleton, Colorado and Chris (Marge) from Dallas, Texas. They have five granddaughters, Melissa Lawrence (Robert) from Littleton, Colorado, Beth Zoller (Matt) from Littleton, Colorado, Jill Prengler (Adam) from Richardson, Texas, Renee Dixon (Brent) from Durango, Colorado, and Rachel Breshears (Brandon) from Euless, Texas. Louise has nine great-grandchildren—Cole, Ally, and Joshua Prengler; Ava and Lucy Dixon; Nora Breshears; Noelle and Arik Zoller; and Mina Lawrence. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 69 years, Syd, and her sister, Ethel DeBoer.
