Lowayne W. Gooch's Obituary
GOOCH, LOWAYNE WIER Died April 6, 2012 in Dallas at the age of 98. She was a devoted and generous wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She is survived by sons Richard and Stephen and wife Peggy, granddaughters Megan Gooch, Karen Marley and husband Mathew, Stephanie Sarles and husband Gary, brothers Joe and R.W. Wier and sister Eunice Getzendanner. She was predeceased by her husband of 66 years Jess, brothers Glenn and Dale, daughter-in-law Teri and parents Lonnie and Mamie. Lowayne graduated from Parkland School of Nursing in 1936 and worked at Baylor Hospital. She volunteered in her church nursery until age 97. Visitation will be at Restland April 10 from 6 until 8. A graveside service will be at 11:00, Wednesday, April 11 at Restland, followed by a memorial service at 12:00 Wednesday in Ellis Chapel at Park Cities. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Children’s Ministry at Park Cities Baptist Church or to Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children.
