Lucia Marie Garth's Obituary
Lucia “Vickie” DeVictor, Sterlacci, Garth, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and devoted friend, passed into the Lord’s arms on July 29, 2016 in Tyler, TX. She was born October 2, 1921 in Pettorano sul Gizio. Vickie was preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Assunta DeVictor, brother Nicolas, and sisters Mary Monaco, Edith Rupert of Ohio; her husband, Guy Sumpter Garth of Dallas, TX. She is survived by sister Sylvia Dupre who resides in Tennessee; her children; Annette Marie Findley and husband Ken of Tyler TX; Susan Marie Demiduk and husband Peter of Clearwater FL; Michael Thomas Sterlacci and wife Heidi of Dallas, TX; grandchildren J. Kenneth Findley II, J. Kyle Findley, Ashlee Marie Demiduk, Michael T. Sterlacci, Christopher M. Sterlacci and Samantha Anne Sterlacci; great granddaughter, Isabella Sterlacci. Vickie graduated from Central High School as Valedictorian and attended Ohio State University. She will be remembered for her volunteer work at the many nursing homes, volunteer work at St. Patrick Catholic Church and Heritage Methodist Church. She attended Gleaner’s Sunday School and was the Sunshine Chairman for both the Lake Highland’s Newcomer Club and Bridge Club. Vickie was recognized and honored as a founding member of the Steeple Steppers Square Dance Club. Vickie is at peace with her family and our Lord. Her smile, laughter and compassion will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at 3PM at the Abbey Chapel, Restland Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of East Texas 4111 University Blvd. Tyler TX or a charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
