We both were very fond of Russell, and we were so sad to hear about his passing. We had many good times watching the girls playing basketball, and I still remember how he cried when Laura got married (good ol’ dad!). We haven’t seen him often in the last few years, but it’s always been great to catch up when we have run into him. He was one of the good guys. We’re sorry to miss his visitation; we had planned to be there, but this obituary notice says that all services are private, and we didn’t want to drive across Dallas County in rush hour traffic only to be turned away. Please know that we are with all of you in spirit.

Russell was a good man who made such a positive impact on my brother that he made him his bestman at his wedding. My brother, Kevin often spoke of him highly. I am so sorry, Laura, Kennedy, Aeden and the rest of his family and friends for your loss. I imagin the joyful reunion Kevin and Russell must be having in Heaven.

Sonja, our prayers are with you and all of Russell’s loved ones. We pray that God will bless each of you with his divine healing comfort. He was a good and trusted friend and we worked together in the Dallas plant for many years, then stayed in frequent contact through emails for all these years after our retirement. He was a dedicated American patriot and a fighter that never gave up fighting his medical problems. He leaves us all with an empty place in our hearts that will never be filled but he does leave us with the wonderful legacy of his life. It was a pleasure working with him for all the years and we will miss him.

He is now at Peace in God’s Hands.I regret that I am in Colorado and thus unable to attend the Services, but I know that Russell had all of the loving care possible from you. This man accepted me & kept me as family even after I divorced his son. I thank him for setting an example of how to be kind for my son James.
