Lucian Glenn Smith's Obituary
SMITH, LUCIAN GLENN Was born in Houston, TX on November 24, 1927 and went home to be with his Savior on November 23, 2011, one day before his 84th birthday. His 3- month battle with lung cancer ended in the victory of eternal life. Glenn served in the U.S. Navy at the start of WWII and later worked as a plumber for 36 years. His interests varied widely from hunting, fishing and golf to cooking, overseas travels, singing hymns and even learning to play piano in his later years. In the mid 1970’s, Glenn was born again by God’s saving grace. He and his wife, Margaret, have been members of Believers Chapel in Dallas since 1990. Glenn was known and admired for his devotion to family, especially as beloved husband to Margaret for 42 years; for his uncommonly generous spirit; and for his ever-present humor and zeal for life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles K. Smith and Louise Smith Bullock; daughter, Dana Adams; granddaughter, Courtney; brother, Charles Kenneth Smith. Glenn is survived by his wife, Margaret B. Smith; daughter, Terri Sigurdson; granddaughters, Rachel, Marlena and Nicholette; nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral 10:30 a.m., Saturday, November 26, 2011, Believers Chapel, 6420 Churchill Way, Dallas. Visitation is one hour prior. Graveside at Restland Memorial.
