I had the privilege of meeting Lucille through my work at Dignity Hospice a couple of weeks ago. Although she was hurting, she still had the ability to make me laugh. She had invited me to her up coming birthday party, and I was looking forward to it. This past weekend I was able to help reduce her pain, and hope I made her life some what better, my condolences to the family. Sherry Martin RN

My mom and I had the privilege of doing Lucille?s hair and nails every Wednesday for the last couple of years. She was the highlight of our day. Lucille was funny, spunky, and always had fun stories to share. She would come in the salon in her gold shoes and leopard-print cane, complaining that she looked like Gravel Gertie and would leave saying she felt like Mrs. Aster. Even though she was counting down the days until her 100th birthday, she was also looking forward to going ?home.? I?m glad we had a chance to say goodbye to her. She will be very missed.
