Lucille Ethel Kersey's Obituary
KERSEY, LUCILLE ETHEL SPANN, born November 30, 1915 in Mineola, Texas to Fred Spann and Ethel Spann. A Dallas resident, graduate of Sunset High School, married H.C. (Bob) Kersey. A member of University Park UMC for 56 yrs. A Life Member of the UMW, and Mr. and Mrs. Sunday School Class, a member of Alpha Psi Tri Psi Sorority for over 50 yrs. A Blue Bird and Camp Fire Girls leader, a member of Mary Gilliam Garden Club, Antique Study Club, and Friday Morning Book Club. Moved to Frisco in 2004. A member of the First UMC, Wesley Sunday School Class, and Heritage Association of Frisco. Preceded in death by husband, granddaughter, Lisa Barfknecht, and brothers Fred, Estes, Victor, and John (Pete) Spann. Survived by Susanne Kerley and Clyde, Jane Kersey Barfknecht and Charles. Grandchildren Andrew Kerley and Katie, Teresa Tebrinke and Michael, and Chad Barfknecht. Great-grandchildren are Rhett, Sydney, Cassie, and Benjamin. Lucille was 92 at death on January 6, 2008. Service will be Thursday, January 10, 2008 at 1:00 p.m in Restland Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 9 from 6:00-8:00 p.m at Restland Funeral Home.
