Lucille Schultz Tilley's Obituary
On January 5, 2018 Lucille Schultz Tilley, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 100.Survived by daughters Harriet Canter (Michael), Nancy McKinney (Dick), and Sue Tilley, two grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Eugene Tilley, Parents John and Emma Schultz, and five siblings.Born at home on the farm in Hutchins, Texas on November 24, 1917, she graduated from Wilmer Hutchins High School. She worked in Dallas, and married Gene Tilley on November 9, 1940.Lucille was a member of First Baptist Dallas where she taught Conversational English and helped in the Beginner Department for over 20 years.The family wishes to thank caregivers Autherine Lomax and Mary King for their warmth and loving care.A celebration of her life will be on Friday, January 12, 2018 at 12:30 PM in the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home.In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to First Baptist Dallas, Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, or the charity of your choice.
