She was the wife of Dr. Wilson Orr Wagner, a medical doctor who practiced in Highland Park, Carrollton, and Farmers Branch for many years. They married in the Highland Park Presbyterian Church on October 18th, 1947. Tottie has resided in Carrollton, Farmers Branch and Addison since 1947. She was employed by the Veteran’s Administration in the early 40’s as a financial benefit advisor, and many years later, as a real estate agent in the North Dallas area. She was instrumental in starting the Morning Garden Club in Carrollton, the Women’s Club in Farmers Branch, and a Medic Alert program. She also, for many years, headed the area drive for the American Heart Association. Tottie is proceeded in death by her husband Wilson Orr Wagner, her daughter Jean, and son Wilson. She is survived by her daughter Joan Wagner, Joan’s husband, George Boston, and grandchildren Jenny, Lindsey, Noah and Anna Kathryn. Tottie was the delight of the family with her joyful and boisterous character, always having a sparkle in her eyes. She smiled often with her golden charisma and charm, offering life-long anecdotes such as “make the best with what you’ve got to work with.” She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. A private service will be held for the family at the Restland Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations or contribution may be made to Tottie’s favorite organizations, the American Heart Association.
