Luis "Pop" Eduardo Tafur's Obituary
Luis was born on September 24, 1935 in Ibague, Colombia and passed away on January 13, 2012 in Mesquite TX. Luis was a great dad, and an even greater granddad. He is survived by his wife Ruth Macchi de Tafur, stepson Pedro Donado, his daughters; Ruth Tafur Watson and husband Greg and Monica Tafur-Everett; grandchildren Chloe & Sage Watson, Phoenix & Juniper Everett, sister Natalia Tafur-Venticenque, brother Carlos Arturo Tafur, son in law Jeff Everett and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Luis was a Colombian Merchant Marine and traveled all over the world. He was a much sought after jeweler in the Dallas area. Luis was very active in spirit and loved the outdoors and working outside.
