Luis Lawrence Malavear Sr.'s Obituary
Luis Lawrence Malavear Sr., 97 of Desoto, Texas. Luis was born on Tuesday, January 4, 1921, to his thoughtful and loving parents, Jesus Malavear and Manuela Rivero in Ennis, Texas. He married Joy Elizabeth Liles on May 28, 1949, in Rockwall, Texas. He was a Master Carpenter, local union 429. He was a member of Knights of Columbus, Council # 12484 in Lancaster, Texas. He served in The United States Navy from October 1, 1942, to February 1, 1946, as a carpenters mate third class. Luis is survived by his loving wife, Joy Malavear of Desoto, Texas; daughters, Linda Malavear and her husband, Gregory , Jerry Gregory of Cedar Hill, Texas; sons, Larry Malavear Jr. and his wife, Terri of Fort Worth Texas; one grandchild, Lindsay Malavear Wiggins and her husband Rick Wiggins and their three kids, Claire, Gage and Ava Wiggins. The family will receive guest on Wednesday, July 25, 2018, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at Restland Funeral Home.
