Luke Melvin Wilson's Obituary
WILSON, LUKE MELVIN 75, of Richardson, TX passed away Wenesday, June 16, 2010. Luke was born September 17, 1934 in Bullard, TX to Hamilton H. Wilson Sr. and Lillie Eubanks Wilson. He graduated from San Angelo High School in 1952 and attended San Angelo College. Luke retired from General Electric after a long and rewarding career. In retirement, Luke enjoyed spending time at Lake Palestine, grilling out with kids and grandkids and traveling with his wife. He will be remembered as a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Meyer Wilson of Richardson; son, Randall Wilson and his wife, Jo Anne of Dallas; daughters, Rhonda Thomas and husband Michael of Westminster, CO and Carla Pettenger and husband Gary of Arvada, CO; brother, Leland Wilson and wife Leita of Fort Worth; sister-in-law, Billie Wilson of San Angelo; cousin, Jerry Eubanks and wife Leta of Tyler; 5 grandsons and 13 great grandchildren. Also surviving are Kyle Cooper, Kerry Cooper, Kim Phillips, Mike Meyetrand Julie Taylor. A graveside service, celebrating Luke’s life, will be held at 11:30AM, Saturday, June 19, 2010 in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens, San Angelo, TX. Family and friends may visit at Johnson’s Funeral Home, Friday, June 18, 2010 6:00PM – 8:00PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association or the charity of choice in his memory.
