Lydia Eugenia Nanu's Obituary
Lydia Eugenia Nanu was born in Bucharest, Romania on June 8, 1927. On April 13, 2018, Lydia peacefully passed away at her residence in Bonne Terre, MO and entered into the presence of her Saviour. Professionally accomplished, Lydia held a Ph.D in Biochemistry and worked diligently as a chemist in medical scientific research. She retired from the department of radiology at UT Southwestern in Dallas, Texas after more than twenty years of service. However, the greatest accomplishment of her life happened in 1965, and she surrendered her life fully to her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. It was at that time that she was introduced to the divine love of Christ and accepted Him as her personal Saviour. Lydia considered herself a missionary for the Kingdom of Christ and sharing the gospel and passages like Isaiah 55:1 became her life mission. Lydia lived a simple yet faithful life. We rejoice with her as she is experiencing the fullness of God’s glory that she eagerly awaited. Lydia was preceded in death by her parents Jean and Elena Radulescu and Mircea Nanu, her brother Valentin Radulescu, and her beloved friend and spiritual brother Serban Constantinescu.
