Lydia Nell Phillips' Obituary
Of Kaufman, TX passed away March 12, 2009 peacefully in the arms of her loving family to the loving arms of her LORD. Born March 25, 1931 in Hydro, OK to John Wallace & Myrtle Mae Jordan. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister June Ann Steighorst & husband Jack V. Phillips, Jr. She is survived by her sister Rita Joyce Eberhart. Al so survived by her daughters & son-in-laws – Patricia & Tom Dance (Lexington, NC) & Johni & John Reeder (Kemp, TX); 2 step-children Kathy & Mike Phillips; 4 grandchildren & spouses – Regi & Julie Young, Jennifer & Steven Clark, Christina Dance and Rena Reeder; 5 great-grandchildren – “Kynzi”, “Mickey” & Coleson Young and Jacquelyn & Robert Clark. Nell was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She retired from Texas Instruments in the late 80’s after 34 years of service. In her retirement years, she labored in love to research the Jordan/Harrison side family history and eventually created a wonderful book of Genealogy for family members. She loved to watch old classical movies and worked crossword puzzles. She also loved and had the love of her three dachshund dogs Brandy, Annie and Aimee. A service will be held at 3:00 pm, Monday, March 16, 2009 in Restland’s Wildwood Chapel with interment to follow in Restland Memorial Park.
