Lyle James Brewster's Obituary
Lyle James Brewster, best known as "Pop," passed away peacefully from this life into Heaven on December 31, 2020 at the age of 99.
He was born in Browns Valley, Minnesota to John and Hilda Brewster on February 9, 1921. When he was 6 months old, he lost his mother to the flu epidemic. He was raised by his grandfather's 2nd wife, Marie and, to him, she was the only mother he ever knew and she loved him dearly. Lyle was a beloved, kind and generous man. He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, and wonderful friend to many. His Christian values and the way he lived his life as a servant of God was inspiring.
Lyle graduated from Browns Valley High School and moved to Black Duck, Minnesota to learn the printing business from his mother's brothers. In December, 1941 World War II broke out and he enlisted in the Army Air Corp and was sent to Perrin Field in Texas where he met the love of his life, Faye Willis. On August 21, 1942 they were married.
After the war, they moved back to Minnesota where their daughter, Lynda, was born. Soon after that, they moved to Texas and settled in Richardson and never moved again. Lyle spent a lifetime working in the printing industry that he so loved.
Lyle is survived by his daughter, Lynda Reynolds and her husband, Pat; grandsons: Steve Reynolds and Davis Reynolds; Steve's wife, Kimberly Reynolds; great grandsons: Bailey Reynolds and Jaden Reynolds and many nephews and nieces in his much loved Minnesota.
