Lyman Jacob Hadi "Rex" Deason's Obituary
Mr. Lyman Jacob Hadi “Rex” Deason died on May 1, 2016 in Dallas, TX at the age of 70. Lyman is survived by 2 sons, Dwayne Deason and Jacob Shane Deason; 5 grandchildren, Kristen Marie, Jake Shane Jr., Lauren Ashley, Courtney Nicole, and Candice Marie; and 3 sisters, Lawrence and Bama Armstrong of Hayden Alabama, Talma Clark of Chattanooga Tennessee, and Judy and Vance Ohma of Gordon Nebraska. Lyman “Rex” Deason was born on February 8th 1946 in Centreville, Alabama to Curtis Lee and Retha Deason. After moving to Alabama from New Orleans, Lyman opened Carpet Country, a family owned flooring business, and shortly thereafter began teaching his second to none flooring skills to his two sons Dewayne and Jacob. We would like everyone to remember their father as a great father with a huge heart. Lyman Rex is loved and will be missed. Dwayne and Jacob feel the man they considered their best friend has departed much too soon. Rex was always encouraging his sons to be the best they could be and always have a kind word. The next statement goes without saying, if Lyman had one passion it was Alabama football. We know you will be with us watching every game “ROLL TIDE ROLL”! The Family would like to thank Baylor Scott-White Hospital and their wonderful staff in the Kindred Building, Restland Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas with a special thanks to Jennifer Hannan and Lisa Gibson for making a hard time less difficult, and Rocko Funeral Home in Centreville, Alabama. A funeral is scheduled for Saturday the 7th at 11:30 am at Rocko Funeral Home in Centreville, Alabama and Perry Clark will minister at the ceremony. The graveside service will follow at Little Hope Baptist Cemetery in Bibb County, Alabama. All are welcome to attend and celebrate the blessings of Lyman Deason’s life. Please Join the Deason family to celebrate the life of this wonderful, caring man that touched so many lives and will be missed greatly. We love you more than you could have ever known and were blessed to have had you in our lives. We will see you on the other side Rex. Rest in peace.
