Lynda Kathryn Linebarger's Obituary
Linebarger, Lynda age 59, passed away April 11, 2013 after a lengthy illness. Born in Columbia, MO, Lynda spent most of her life in Dallas. She graduated from Lake Highlands High School in 1972 and as an honor graduate from the University of North Texas in 2006. Lynda held many jobs through the years, including being co-owner and chief financial officer of Texas Metronet, Inc. for over a decade. Most recently, Lynda worked with CONTACT Crisis Line, training the volunteers who man the phone lines as well as volunteering her own time helping callers directly. She was a dear friend and was devoted to her family. She is preceded in death by her father, Leonard H. Owens. Lynda is survived by her mother, Barbara Owens; her sister, Kitty Owens Myers and brother in-law, Edward J. Myers; and her niece, Melyssa Myers. A visitation will be held Sunday, April 14, 2013 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to CONTACT Crisis Line, P.O. Box 800742, Dallas, TX 75380.
