Lynda Hasbrook Tyler-Smith's Obituary
LYNDA HASBROOK TYLER-SMITH took her father’s hand and joined him in heaven on Wednesday January 23, 2013 at the age of 60. Lyn slipped away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. We will all miss her goofy sense of humor, her infectious smile, and her absolute love of her family and friends. Lyn’s battle with cancer was brief, but courageous, and we know she is now at peace and in a better place. We know she will guard over us until we meet again. Lynda was born October 30, 1952 in Dallas, Texas to William Kenneth and Alma Hasbrook. She graduated from South Garland High School in 1970 and was a proud member of the Southern Belle Drill Team. After High School, Lyn went on to Tyler Junior College where she became a member of the Apache Belles Drill Team. Lyn is survived by her Husband, Jerry Smith of Garland, Texas; Daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Tristan Sherrill of Plano, Texas; Grandchildren, Lauren and Madi Sherrill of Plano, Texas; Daughter, Melanie Tyler-Horne of North Richland Hills, Texas; Grandson, Cristian Horne of North Richland Hills, Texas; Mother, Alma Hasbrook of Garland, Texas; Sister and brother-in-law, Pam and Greg Vetrano of Garland, Texas; Niece, Angela Tutt and family of Frisco, Texas; Nephew, Greg Vetrano Jr and family of McKinney, Texas; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives.
