Mrs. Lynn Pyles Bruce's Obituary
Lynn Louise Pyles Bruce, 62, passed away in Dallas, TX on Saturday, February 18. Funeral service to be held at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas on Thursday, February 23 at 2:00 PM, and burial service at Medlan Chapel Primitive Baptist Church south of Graham, TX on Saturday, February 25 at 11:00 AM.
Lynn was born to Elder and Mrs. Sonny and Sarah Pyles on December 10, 1960. She was raised in Graham, where her father was pastor of Medlan Chapel Primitive Baptist Church. She married Daniel Howard Bruce on March 7, 1987 in Dallas.
Lynn dedicated her life to education, both through homeschooling her children and through service to the homeschool community worldwide as a member of the board of AmblesideOnline, a liberal arts-based homeschool curriculum. She was a gifted writer, speaker, and teacher, a faithful follower of Jesus, and a beloved friend and mentor to many.
She is survived by her husband, her children Caitlin Elizabeth Bruce Beauchamp (Dan), Claire Louise Bruce, and Justin Daniel Bruce (Ashlyn), grandchildren Luna, Wendell, Rosemary, and Fairlight, mother Sarah Rushing Pyles, and brothers David Pyles (Karen) and Daniel Pyles.
