Lynn Alan Williams' Obituary
WILLIAMS, LYNN ALAN – Born June 1 1939 in Forgan, OK and passed away July 15, 2012 in Deer Isle, ME. Graduated Baylor University with a degree in Biology. Served in U.S. Airforce, NSA branch, stationed in Turkey where he translated Russian intercepts. He married Raylene McMichael on April 2, 1976. He had many interests, including; photography in which he loved capturing memories of his family in pictures and also flowers and landscapes for his wife, and building and flying radio controlled airplanes. This was a hobby from his youth and continued with his sons and grandsons until his death. He was a member of the Academy of Model Aeronautics for many years. Lynn had a passion for travel and loved travelling with his wife and family in his motorhome. He was an avid reader, especially theological and historical literature. Lynn was a loving, kind, considerate, husband who adored his children and grandchildren. His gentle mannerisms and smile will be deeply missed by all who loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude Jarrett and Sylvia Mae Williams; former wife, Patricia McLellan Williams; son, Michael Lane Williams; and granddaughter, Delaney Anne Williams. Survived by wife, Raylene Williams; four children, David Jarrett Williams and wife Lisa of Bowling Green, KY, Diana Leigh Dearing and husband Scott of Keller, TX, Deborah Lynn Goodman and husband Jason of Whitewright, TX, and Darrell Williams and wife Christine of Deer Isle, ME; and nine grandchildren, Jennifer Lynne Harrison, James Patrick Williams, Tyler Cherry Williams, Patrick Dalton Williams, Matthew Scott Dearing, Mitchell Alan Dearing, Ayden Wesley Goodman, Noah Darrell Williams, and Hannah Lynn Williams. Family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00pm on Sunday, July 22nd at Restland Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10:00am on Monday, July 23rd at Restland Wildwood Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, www.heart.org
