M. Sue Childress' Obituary
Arrived in Dallas for her journey here on earth October 10, 1914. Her journey was completed on June 4, 2012. Her birth blessed her parents, Guy and Grace Southern. Sue’s youth was spent in Dallas and Bangs, Texas. After her first year at college, she met and married the love of her life, Harvey A. Childress Sr. Their marriage was a haven of love, security and devotion for 73 years. Together they gave their lives to ministry of the gospel and the helping of others. Sue is survived by two grandchildren, L. Allen Childress and Stormi Goodspeed, Stormi’s husband, Micah, three great-grandchildren, Foster, Mc Cormic and Dare Goodspeed and her daughter-in-law, Marti Childress. Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey and son, Allen. Services to remember Sue’s life will be Saturday, June 9th, 2012, 10:30am at Waterview Church of Christ, 1409 N.
