Mabel Lee Tansil's Obituary
Died Wednesday, Mary 25, in Dallas, Texas. She was born November 20, 1915 in Rockland, Texas to Mrs. Willie Olive Mixon and Mr. Cornelius Shillings Mixon in Rockland Texas. Mabel attended elementary school and high school in Rockland. She completed her high school education at Lufkin High School in East Texas. Mabel began her college education at Rice University in Houston. She majored in mathematics. She completed her college education at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. Mabel is survived by her two sons, Thomas B. Tansil of Highland Park and Michael W. Tansil of University Park; her grandson, Thomas Christopher Tansil and his wife Yun of Dallas; grandson, John B. Tansil and his wife Marisa of Austin; granddaughter Nicole McCrory and husband Joe of Dallas. Finally, Mabel has two great-grandsons: Nicholas Tansil and Zachary Dunham. Funeral services for Mabel will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 28th in Restland’s Abbey Chapel.
