Mabel Erene Thompson (Couey)'s Obituary
Mabel Erene Thompson (Couey), age 101, passed away peacefully in Dallas, Texas, on November 22, 2021 at her home. She was born to Fulton and Alma Couey on June 24, 1920 in Fountain Hill, Arkansas. She was one of 7 children and the last surviving.
She married Richard (Tommy) Thompson on August 8, 1944. They were married for 53 years until Tommy’s death in September 1997.
She is loved by her 4 children and spouses. Stephen & Jeanne Thompson of Dallas, Patricia and Bill Nolen of Dallas, Donald & Raylene Thompson of Irving and Janet and Tommy Freeman of Eustace. She is also survived by 11 Grandchildren and 20 Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was a life long member of the Church of Christ.
A memorial service for Mabel Thompson will be Friday at 2:00 PM on December 3, 2021 in the Abbey Chapel at Restland Funeral Home 13005 Greenville Avenue Dallas, Texas 75243. Visitation will be held at 1:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home.

She gave her family such comfort in knowing she saw the great promise we all hold on to, being in the presence of the Great I Am and all our family that has gone before. What rejoicing there is in heaven!
