Mable Lylian Allison's Obituary
Mable Lylian Allison was born on August 19, 1922 in Rockwall, Tx. She was the 7th of 8 children born to Walter and Lula Boles. She passed away peacefully in Dallas on October 23, 2018. In 1947 she married her soulmate Robert “Don” Allison and they shared a wonderful life together for 52 years. Mable was an accomplished seamstress for over 30 years for Nardis. of Dallas and also the Haggar Co. Her talents served her well as she used them to create amazing costumes for many school plays and Halloweens. Although Don and Mable never had children of their own they created a family in 1975 by adopting 2 nieces and a nephew. The parental role was one Mable relished and she was a mom in every way someone could be. She was caring and generous and provided an incredible life for her children. She was also a fantastic cook, her chocolate pie, banana pudding, fried chicken and homemade rolls were legendary! Mable had a tremendous impact on the lives of numerous friends and family and will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings and her beloved husband Don Allison. She is survived by her children, Darryl Knight and wife Nanci, Lori Timbrell and husband David and Angela Knight: 4 grandchildren Julia, Emily, Dylan and Derek and great granddaughter Sydney. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to The American Heart Association or charity of your choice. Visitation for Ms. Mable Lylian Allison will be held Sunday, October 28, 2018 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Restland Funeral Home. Her funeral service will be held Monday, October 29, 2018, at 12:30 PM in the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home located at 13005 Greenville Ave., Dallas, Texas 75243.Funeral arrangements for Ms. Allison have been faithfully entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery, which is located at 13005 Greenville Ave., at the intersection of Restland Road, Dallas, Texas 75243, and can be reached at (972) 238-7111.After the service the family has reserved a room at Ten 50 BBQ in Richardson, Tx for lunch with family and friends.
