Macel Jean Haddock's Obituary
Macel Jean Fowler Haddock was born September 10, 1931 to the parents of Hubert and Charlotte Fowler. She passed away peacefully on September 2, 2021 in Dallas Tx at the age of 89.
Macel married Charles Edward Haddock on June 30, 1950 in Dallas Tx.
She is preceded in death by her husband Charles (deceased January 1993), her parents, her grandson Todd Ellison (deceased December 9, 2020), and her three siblings Marcelia (Ceil) Hyder, Rowlett Tx, deceased September 2017, Bobby Fowler, Dallas Tx, deceased September 2007, and Billy Fowler, Garland TX, deceased August 2005.
She is survived by three daughters, Sherry Ellison (Combine TX, husband Mike), Debra Haddock (Mesquite TX, husband Doug), and Paula Anderson (Mesquite TX, husband Mike); grandchildren Lori Hale (Dallas TX, husband Jarrett), Carissa Meyer (Colleyville TX, husband Matt), Lauren Anderson (Dallas TX), Allison Johnson (Allen TX, husband Eric), and Shayne Ellison (LaPorte TX, wife Christy). She is also survived by generations of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Macel will be remembered by her family and friends for her sacrificial love and devotion. She was a believer and follower of Jesus Christ and knew Him as her Lord and Savior. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and loyal friend to many, always thinking of others.
Many happy birthdays, graduations, weddings, Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays celebrated with her and Charlie will be lovingly remembered by all of her family. She loved to go out for lunch, especially Chick-fil-A or Whataburger (mustard, extra onions.) She was very particular about her auburn hair which she preferred a little curly, not too short and brushed back from her face. Her hair never turned gray or white. Her friends would say she colored it, but she really didn’t.
Macel’s life will be honored and remembered in a private service at Restland Memorial Funeral Home on September 7, 2021.
In lieu of flowers, please feel free to make a donation in her name to a charity of your choosing such as a food bank or shelter. There are so many in need right now and she would be happy to know you helped someone.
