Macy Todd Wall's Obituary
Macy was born in Neches, Texas on July 5, 1917 and passed away in Dallas, Texas on December 12, 2014. Macy was preceded in death by her mother and father Ruby and Edgar Todd, her husband Wade Wall, daughter Phaba Wall, sisters Bobby Frase, Verna Brown, Neva Hafner and Melba Holmes, and her grandson Hayden Wall. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Grant and Kathy Wall; her granddaughter Mackenzie Wall; her sister Robby Boyett and many nieces and nephews. Macy was born in a small town in East Texas where she was the second oldest in a family of five other sisters. After high school she moved to Dallas and attended East Texas State University until World War II began. In support of the war effort she then began work at North American Aviation in the aircraft construction industry. Macy and her two sisters, Bobby and Robby where known as the “Todd Sisters” and were featured in several catalogs and trade publications where they modeled clothing. As the war ended, Macy began a career at Butler Brothers, a wholesale merchandising company in Dallas, where she was employed until the late 1950’s when she became a full time home maker and wife. Macy enjoyed many hobbies including sewing, crochet, quilting, gardening and cooking. Macy was a charter member of the Skillman Church of Christ where she taught bible classes in her younger years. Her faith, family and church fellowship were the most important things to her throughout her life and she cherished the many friendships she made over the years. Macy was a great mother, wife, sister and friend and she will be missed. The funeral service for Macy will be held at 10:00 AM on December 19, 2014 in The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75238 at Restland Road In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to Skillman Church of Christ, 3014 Skillman St., Dallas, TX 75206.
